Are Black Folks 2 Sensitive?

Is it any truth to this Picture?

Now anybody that really knows me knows that I will crack (make fun of) on just about anyone. You can be Black, White, Asian, and/or whatever you are. I also have friends that will make jokes about anyone and anything. Now I do not know where all of you are from, but Im pretty sure you and your friends have made jokes about white folks and some of the other people in the world, right? Our comedians talk about how white people act, how the white girls are always falling in the movies, how Mexican people talk, and... well you know the point I'm trying to make.

Well I just have a quick question, why is it that when a white man brings up chicken and watermelon we loose our minds. I mean I am one of those people that will stand there with you when its time to go to war, often times I am the leader of the pack, but sometimes I think we need to come down. I think that we need to relax on some things, especially when we are the ones that can dish it out. There are some things that every culture is known for, for example, Mexicans love Taco's, not all of them, but its apart of their culture right? Jamacians eat curry chicken and goat, and ox tails right? Well, I don't know about yall group of Black Folks, but as for this Black Man here, I love Chicken and Watermelon, and I will not get offended if some white man threw that out at me. I would probably ask dude if he had some chicken with him, not be offended. No we are not the only ones that eat this way, just like not only Mexicans eat taco's, but some people are just known for certain things.

I said all of this to say that we should embrace our culture, and stop getting offended whenever someone says a certain thing. Hell yeah there is a lot of racism going on, and it will always be that way, especially towards us black folks. I just think that we need to relax a bit and be realistic. How many of you have went home and said "them white folks got on my nerves today" after work? I bet you have said it more than once and did not think twice. Well what if you could be a fly on the wall in a white mans house and heard him say... Those black guys think that they are so tough, or something like that? Most of us would be ready to march on Washington, but WHY?

Black Women: What Makes You Such A Good Woman?

Well I was walking through a certain department at work and I seen a young lady who dated a guy I knew and asked... "Have you and So n So got married yet"? She said no, and that she was in no hurry. The response I got from another young lady was... "Well, you know how f'd up you men are"! I got to thinking, yes we have some bad men in the world, but the women in it are not all so innocent either. I really started to think to myself, why are the majority of the women I know such GOOD WOMEN?

Women play the same games men play, most of them keep a spare on the side, are bossy, will not let a man take control (unless she is in a good mood), and are full of you know what in there own way. Ladies, some of your are single because you want to be, but some of you are single because you need to be as well. Brothers catch a bad wrap, but brothers who are on the hunt looking for something serious, often find women who are full of it as well. I truly believe that there are just as many good men as their is women, its just that men are not as sneaky as women. The BS that men do will hit the fan, and the BS that women do will probably go to the grave with them. So ladies, could you please tell me WHAT MAKES YOU SUCH A GOOD WOMAN THAT YOU CAN'T FIND A MAN, IF THAT IS YOUR CASE? Below is a list that I personally think makes up a pretty good women, are you any of these ladies?

• CARRY YOURSELF LIKE A LADY
• WILLING TO BE YOUR MANS BACKBONE
• FAITHFUL
• WILLING TO LISTEN 
• ALLOW HIM TO LEAD
• LOVE UNCONDITIONALLY

Communication: Do you really know how to Communicate?

Communication seems very simple right! One person is talking, and the other person is listening, but... if either person does not communicate effectively, a serious problem can arise. Communication is important in every relationship, and there are many times when relationships are tainted or ends due to the communication breakdown.

First of all we have to learn that we have to tell people how we feel, if we don't we will just act on our emotions and possible hurt the other party involved. Now when you get ready to talk to your mate or whomever, you need to watch how you say things and the tone that you use because other people might take something the wrong way, which will create an argument or confusion. When you need to get something off of your chest, do not talk down to someone or come at them in attack mode. All this will do is make that person defensive and snap back at you without even thinking about your problem.

There is also responsibility on the listener to not get so upset about what they are hearing. The fact that the person is talking to you should let you know that they might not mean any harm. Even if they are yelling, you should try to understand why they are upset and do not play into that. Most of the times the two people end up yelling and saying a bunch of bull that does not even have anything to do with the convo. Now you are just going to hurt each others feelings with ugly words.

I think that this is what is wrong with a lot of our Black Marriages and why divorce comes up so much. Either we do not communicate with our mates correctly, or we don't do it at all. We have to learn how to talk to people, and listen at the same time. If you are anything like me, sometimes you think that you are so right that you can't even listen to the other person. Even if you are right, the other person might not process things the way you do, so you should be patient and listen to them. The key is respect, and if you have that for one another, the communication should be cool. This is something that I have learned through marriage, and its very important. You might think you know, but do you REALLY know how to communicate with people, especially your mate?

Honor Student Shot 25 Times by Police; Witnesses Say His Hands were in the Air

Well here we go again, this does not come as a surprise but I am tired of it. 25 year old Cary Ball was shot in St. Louis 25 times by the police. Now, let's start with what he did wrong, because he does play a negative roll in this. Ball was fleeing the police after running a traffic stop. The reason he did was because he was a convicted felon and he had no business having a gun, now here comes the confusing part.

Witnesses are saying that he put his gun on the ground and had his hands in the air when the police shot him 25 times. The police are saying that they had to shoot him because he pointed his gun at him. Now in my opinion, the po po is lying, because even if he did pull out his gun, why shoot him 25 times. Ball has a troubled past, but he had turned his life around by holding a 3.86 GPA at Forest Park Community College. He was said to be carrying a gun for protection due to the area that he is from.

The officers are on administrative leave pending further investigation. I hope that the truth comes out, but no matter what, there was no reason to shoot him 25 times.
